What Clubs Are Being Offered?

**The following is subject to change**

Korean (Grades K-2)

Korean Club is a fun place to be introduced to the Korean language, beautiful customs, and delicious food! We hope to learn a few commonly used words and phrases, about some of Koreans’ contributions to the world, and learn to make some simple crafts and food.

Gardening (Grades K-2)

Do you love to touch grass, dig in the dirt, eat veggies and see pretty flowers? We will learn how to plan, prepare, and then plant a garden which will continue into a school project. We’ll get to start yummy veggies to munch on and beautiful flowers to see for the rest of the year.

Lego (Grades K-2)

Join other Lego loving students and express your creativity while learning to overcome obstacles as you work together each week to complete a new build challenge.

ASL (Grades 2-3)

American Sign Language (ASL) is an amazing visual language that uses hands, facial expressions, and body language to express oneself to those who have difficulty hearing or speaking. This will be a fun and relaxed introduction beginning with the alphabet and numbers and moving into common phrases and everyday vocabulary.

Chess (Grades 2-3)

Millions of people know how to have fun playing chess. Become one of them by learning the rules and some of the moves to pull off a checkmate. Maybe you can be a future Grandmaster champion!

Engineering (Grades 2-5)

What is engineering? Come find out! We'll use a little bit of science, a little bit of math, and learn how to think like engineers, solve problems, design solutions, and have fun! We'll read stories about real-life engineering heroes, design towers, build bridges, try out Amatuer radio communications, launch rockets, and more!

French (Grades 2-5)

"FRENCH STORES GALORE!"
We will be learning about the French culture and language through role play in various stores: les boulangeries (bakeries), les magasins (stores), and even become street vendors making and selling les crêpes! Get excited to try a French baguette and make crêpes for you and your classmates!
**French Club will be run by the Alliance Française and requires an additional registration and total payment of $84 to them directly instead of $65 to the Baker-Butler PTO**
